Two oak trees on this property needed pruning - one in the backyard and one large front yard oak. That front tree is a big one. Dense canopy, wide spread, the kind of tree that takes real work to prune correctly without damaging the structure or leaving it looking hacked up.

Our climber went up into the canopy with full rope and harness gear to work from the inside out. That's the right way to prune a mature oak. You're not just cutting what's easy to reach from the ground - you're getting into the tree, identifying the problem branches, and making clean cuts that promote healthy growth rather than stress the tree.

Once the cuts were made, the debris piled up fast. Big green branches, smaller limbs, leafy brush - all of it staged along the alley fence line before we fed it through the chipper and hauled it off completely. No pile left at the curb. No mess left for the homeowner to deal with.

That final shot of the front yard oak tells the whole story. The canopy still has its full shape and size - it doesn't look stubbed or over-cut. It just looks like a well-maintained tree. That's what proper pruning looks like. The goal is always to leave the tree healthier and better balanced, not just smaller.

Oak tree trimming done right is about more than aesthetics. Removing crossing branches, dead wood, and overgrown limbs reduces weight load and wind resistance, which matters especially heading into storm season. We pruned both trees, chipped everything, and left the property clean. Start to finish.
